Shri. Neralagunte M. Ramappa was born on 1st June, 1961 in Neralagunte, Chitradurga District, in the state of Karnataka. He received his post-graduation degree in the 80s and ever since has been actively participating in state politics (years). He has been a prominent face in the local newspapers for his contributions of development and welfare to the citizens of Karnataka.
Shri. Ramappa has closely worked and supported the likes of revered Shri. D. K. Shivakumar and the honorable Shri. Siddaramaiah in the ‘Bangalore to Bellary Padayatra’ and in several State by-elections. He has been an active participant in the State Assembly Elections since 2012 and has served the society alongside local ministers and authorities.
An enthusiast of the Literary Arts
Apart from his humanitarian and locally popular persona, Shri. M. Ramappa is known to be a patron of the literary arts and a loyal admirer of Karnataka’s culture, age old traditions, and its rich heritage. Over the years, he has been closely linked to the great thinkers of Karnataka, like – Shri. U. R. Ananthamurthy (Jnana Petha Awardee), popular poet Shri. G. S. Shivarudrappa, Shri. Prof. Chandrashekar Kambar (Jnana Petha Awardee), and popular writer Shri. K. E. Radhakrishna, to mention a few.
As an individual boasting a political career of over two decades in Karnataka, Shri. M. Ramappa has gained the support, goodwill, and influence of several top state ministers. He leverages his vast influential network for the development and preservation of the local culture, heritage, and morals.

Neralagunte M.Ramappa believes in the power of nature’s influence over human lives.He is a practicing environmentalist and has actively conducted Draught Relief Drives throughout Kannada Nadu.He is a celebrated member of the Draught Relief Survey Commission organized by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) to this day.Since the budding days of his career, his strategies and executions in Karnataka politics have been based upon a strong foundation of local cultural values and on the ideologies of humanity.
